What We Do
We are a family friendly adult and pediatric chiropractic practice focusing on corrective care of the nervous system and its supporting structures with the intent of impacting whole health outcomes as opposed to simple pain therapy so our patients not only feel better, but experience vastly greater function as well.
Industry
Medical
Color Preferences
Strong colors with good contrast. Will be using a black or deep blue background, so light/white letters.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
I will be using a slightly "masculine" bent on the style sliders. Althrough we see about 60/40 male/female, we strongly want to enc ourage families for whom the female is the health care decision maker. Thus, that masculine is not a "Nascar" masculine, but a sort of "He would be a strong husband and provider" masculine. The logo should also be usable in a single color printing format (i.e., all white on a black tshirt) to save money on printing costs for large events. Please provide a version of this with the winning submission.

Hi, I thought the instructions would come up after payment. Please be patient until tomorrow when I can search the logotournament site to figure out how to use the features and participate correctly in this process. Thank you all in advance for what I know will be some fantastic work!

A not-too fancy, powerful text should do the heavy lifting. I'd like this to fit easily from letterhead to business card to signage. Strong, authentic. Green not preferred, thanks.

Would maybe like to see some options with a line between the text.

Not really looking for a spine. Prefer words to match up neatly....I like it that Great Works fits pretty neatly on top of Chiropractic. Thanks for all the entries so far, folks!

Note: if you look at the examples I put up, and try to use those as a guide it will help a lot.

Would anyone like to try a logo with a line or embellishment between the top and bottom elements instead of above or to the side?

Green is not a preferred color, all. Thanks! Also, the sun type imagery in one of my examples I found very compelling.

Wow, everybody! I am astounded by the amount of talent in here. Keep going. All of you have designs with merit. Please keep it coming. We are getting really, really great stuff, and I am hoping it gets even better. Please, provide other choices than green.

I see under forms accepted that .eps is the only accepted. I really don't know what that means, and if the logo were provided in non-"designer" format, too, that would be great so we could use it in day=to-day applications. A monocolor version will be needed, too for printing pure white or pure black on a tshirt or whatnot.

Hi, still not really looking for spines in our logo. For those who submitted, please try something else. Now the amount of submissions is getting hard to process and rank. Please give me a few hours to deal with this. Now that I see how the application of a sun type of imagery plays out, I'm pretty sure we are not going in that direction. Please, any logos that incorporated green, please try another color....yellow, gold, bold bright blue, purple?

Hi, all. I'd still like to see some more entries with a horizontal line between "Great Works" above and "Chiropractic" below. Also perhaps some with Chiropractic being of equal or similar font size as opposed to somewhat understated. I worry people will miss it.

Oh, the Great Works River is the namesake for our practice. Our old logo has a river theme with a family of trees. We are not sure we want to keep either, but that may be some valuable info for an idea. A local land trust has a really cool white pine tree (not the color white, the species of pine tree....pinus strobus, I think is its scientific name) silhouette. Just some fresh info to keep the idea rolling. This has been really amazing so far! I am doing my very best to give thoughtful feedback and spend some time on this. I lot of you have really weighed in, though, so please don't get frustrated if I can't get right back. I will be having office hours in a couple of hours.

If anyone is feeling ambitious, I would like to see concepts that reflect family. Would also like to see some with a river theme. Both subtle...mainly interested in good, strong text for company name.

What a lot of entries! Sorting through them over the course of the afternoon. I'm just one person, so please hang in there. I hope to have everyone's feedback and critique handled by close of business today.

Have I missed anyone for feedback? This is getting a little hard to keep track of. If you wanted feedback and I didn't give it, please message me. Thank you. This just keep getting better!

Overall, please, if you have used green or orange in your logo submissions, please TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT! Also, While I see the design elegance of having chiropractic smaller under the name, I want it to be big enough to stand out easily. I worry that in a lot of the great designs, it may be too small. It doesn't necessarily have to match size, although that is what some of my favorite example logos do, but it should stand up and make a good accounting of itself.

Any other family themes out there to add to the filed in the last open tournament day? I am preferring logos that are small, subtle, tied into the text in the main. Anything that creates an awkward shape, or a design nightmare for business cards, signs and other promotional material will not make the cut. I know we can get one or two levels beyond where we are now. Keep refining....try to squeeze one last bit of awesomeness into your logos that wasn't there before...I want to log back in later tonight and have a heart attack from all the amazing entries! THANK YOU ALL!

There was a very interesting design from someone in here with a 3-color ball with a person in it. It was one of the top ten...I was sad to see it go. It is still sticking in my mind. Would you not consider reposting and refining it?

I still don't understand why someone would remove a fairly highly-ranked entry. This is odd and bothers me some. Am I misunderstanding something about this tournament?

may I ask once more that if you have submitted a logo with GREEN that you use something else? Please don't withdraw logos with green. Just interested in other colors.

Just a reminder: SOMEONE REMOVED A LOGO I REALLY LIKED. IT HAD A THREE-COLOR CIRCLE WITH A PERSON IN IT. PLEASE PUT IT BACK UP!

Oh, well, I understand. Listen, everybody, this last crop of designs are all awesome. Thank you! I will not be able to rank..have to run! Will spend time with this tonight.

OK, folks, we are in a new phase, I understand. Going into that, I will be clearing out some of the entries I will no longer be considering. If it is one of yours, please do not be offended. I just need to narrow things down so I can wrap my brain around all this. Thank you! OK, off to read the directions for the judging phase.

WOW. You guys have really gone above and beyond. I have been away, and will review these again and ask for any revisions I feel I might need for judging in the morning.

This is tough. Thank you for all the great entries. I am asking some advice before choosing because I want them all. These are all so fantastic.
