Color Preferences
I am open seeing the use of black, red, and/or orange - but of course not limited to those colors on an emblem or pictorial mark. Also consider the use of the logo on a black as well as white shirts. It is very possible to use the logo as a letter head or on the footer of business stationary. And of course - business cards. So the background colors can affect the choice of the logo colors.... Gradient and fading can be used too.

I am not a fan of the waving flags or anything checkered as there are too many out on websites and the internet. I think its too obvious and too predictable.

I am also open to abstract images, 3-dimensional, pictorial marks, or emblems that are unique and different. I hope it conjures up the abreviation of the G and I in GaryImages.com

As well as color - I am open to a possible outline of a race car - perferably Formula 1, NASCAR, or Indy Racing as long as it's subtle and not overstated. An outline of a driver's race helmet is also a possibility...

Try not to look into my website too much as ultimately the website will be updated to follow the new chosen logo. You may check out my site for the type of photos, cars, clients, and other business necessities required for the design. In short, my current website is a work in progress...

I like the use of the blue even tho it wasnt part of the initial colors I listed. I like the logo even tho a VW does not represent speed - it took me a double take to recognize it was the VW...which is what I want my customers and potential clients to do... do double takes on the logo, icon, name..... Im open to other shapes of race cars like F1 NASCAR IRL...

no checkered flags or swinging flags - i think it's too predictable and too common on many race sites and car companies.

idea: How about the use of an outline of a car, race car, open wheel car, shadows or gradients of a race car?

A designer posed this question which I thought was great... Also when considering the design - how will it look like on a black t-shirt, black business card, or black website - as well as a white background... The current designs ranked above will also look good if the black is inverted to the color white...

if you click on the pic of the entry you will see designers comments, also you can leave comments for that specific design so you don't have to list them all here.

Also consider the use of the logo on a black as well as white background like shirts. So the background colors can affect the choice of the logo colors.... Gradient and fading can be used too.

I am not a fan of the waving flags or anything checkered as there are too many out on websites and the internet. I think its too obvious and too predictable. Im not a fan of an actual picture of a car - if a race car is used - make it an outline or something artsy where one may see it after looking at it and discovering the car after an initial glance. Also something I dont really want to see is flames in the logo and icon. I think flames are another staple of racing when one thinks about it so there are alot of icons on the internet with flames, flags, and checkered images.... I dont want to be included in those as one will confuse my photographers from the other ones....

I am also open to abstract images, pictorial marks, or emblems that are unique and different.

I would like to see something on the contemporary side - not too futuristic and not old school look.

Is it my imagination or do I sense a sudden decrease of entries since the accusations in Logo Court against one of the designers in my contest...???

Since everyone is gun-shy due to the recent allegations - this would be a great time to enter my contest...!!
