Color Preferences
If you come up with something kick ass, I'll be interested. But I've invisioned my logo as either black and white or green (think Matrix) and black. The interior of the center is mostly orange (energy and increase oxygen to the brain), blue (relaxing and an appetite suppresant) and yellow (increases metabolism, energy and concentration).
Our Ideas & Additional Information
I want to stay away from muscle bound images typically associated with fitness, ex. Golds or Worlds Gym. What I've envisioned is a set of hands, starting at the elbows, framing the name and slogan, located underneath the name, with a set of shackles on the wrists and the hands breaking the chain connecting the shackles. Logos that direct my eyes to and/or frame the companies name typically draws my attention. But this sites about creativity and connecting with designers who look at things differently. So surprise me :) and I'll give lots of feedback.

#3 i love how you used the body to form an f as part of both names - very clever but maybe to feminine
#2 the image flows into the name and slogan nicely- same as 3
#1 lovely image but it pulls away from the first part of the name but it does make "fitness" stand out- i feel the bird is to feminine

#9 i'm not really interested in images that promote muscle bound men but i like the image u used because its not over the top- i also like this font over #4's

#2 i like how the image conveys freedom of movement but i would like to see the character's left side bowed toward the name- also, could you please stack the freedom on top of the fitness with the slogan underneath- i would like to see if the blue image will still flow into freedom and the yellow line flow better into fitness

#5 i really like how ur images frame the name and slogan but they give me a feel that i'm fitness class oriented- the center will have fitness classes but they'll only be a small aspect- we'll also have free weights, cardio and selectorized equipment

#6 i like how u incorporated the image with the f in freedom- it naturally draws my attention to the name and slogan but the overall image reminds me of a drug company logo

#1 sorry, the bird just doesnt fit but it is a nice image- please, keep them coming!

#7 i like the use of green but the image pulls away from the name because it's so strong- also, i'm looking for something that incorporates the slogan- ur image does open me up to the idea of having an image that's versital enough to be used as a stand alone or with the name and slogan

#8 the same as #7 but i'm not as keen on the colors- i'd like to see what else you can offer though

#10 like the colors you used but you didnt use the slogan which is why it's in the not interested- the image looks like its going to kick the name which is kind of fun

#11 really like your play on the double f's in the name but the image looks like someone with four arms- looking forward to more of your work though

#5 i moved you up cuz the way you framed the name and slogan stands out more and more to me but i'm not really getting into the font used on freedom

#9 could you please try stacking freedom on top of fitness and replace the i in fitness with your image- i think this will underline and draw attention to the word freedom and at the same time create some fun with the word fitness- also please move the slogan between freedom and fitness as well

***ALL DESIGNERS*** thanks for your work...love the posts so far...i would love for someone to take a shot at my idea about using the hands and shackles described in the contest brief....thanks again!!!

lot of great entries so far...thanks!

just taking a sec to go over what has my attention:

interaction...a few designers have taken the time to tell me their thoughts and that's went a long way
new ideas...a few logos have opened my thinking by incoporating things i listed as unwanted and a few logos have brought ideas to this contest that wasnt even being thought of...yes...yes...yes...please keep surprising me
my reasons for current ranking...my #1 has framed the name and slogan with an image that could appeal to either sex / #2 has great coloring and the little guy (though more masculine) is a lot of fun without looking like he's on 'roids / #3 is a strong logo that could be used with or without the name and slogan / #4 has an asexual image and uses great coloring- i also like how the 24/7 stands out cuz of the image and coloring

hope this helps
