What We Do
By employing socially, environmentally, and economically sustainable business practices, Fortis Wind Energy - U.S. sells, installs, and services top-quality turnkey small wind turbine systems.

(Fortis Wind Energy is the Dutch company that manufactures the turbines. Fortis Wind Energy - U.S. is our company which sells and installs the Dutch-made turbines in the U.S.
Since our name is quite long, for the purposes of the logo, we would like all submissions to include at least "Fortis Wind", but we will also consider submissions that also include "Fortis Wind Energy" as well as the full "Fortis Wind Energy - U.S."
Perhaps the "U.S." can be a softer side piece on the logo.)

IMPORTANT REVISION -
Please see this link for pictures of turbines that we install. I would like to see some logo submissions that use a more realistic depiction of our actual turbine. Consider tail design, blade shape and angle, and relative tower height vs. blade length. Thank you!

We don't want to look like a huge GE turbine. We want to look like our turbines. There are subtle differences in the shape of the blades.
see ideas... http://www.fortiswindenergy.com/recently-installed
If you are showing it 3D, it needs to include the tail.
They turn clockwise and are singular installations... not big farms with more than one.

Lettering should be solid, dependable, reliable... They should NOT be futuristic, techy, new, or flashy
Logo should look good big, small, printed in color, printed in black and white. I generally like simiple designs.

I am still eager to see more entries. One designer made a comment that "I had zeroed in on what I wanted" and that there was "no reason to submit more entries". I am NOT married to any of these designs and the contest is still wide open. NEW SUBMISSIONS ARE ENCOURAGED! Thanks!!!

Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage more participation.

~~ Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered.

~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you are going to see.

~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested"

~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.

~~ Ranking is a non-monitary means of showing apprecaition for designers hard work.

~~ Designers earn points for ranked designs. We like to earn points.

More detailed information on how to get the most out of your contest can be found here:

Entry #60 has the most realistic depiction of one of our turbines. I would like to see more entries that use a realistic image/sketch. Check out http://www.fortiswindenergy.com/recently-installed and maybe try one with an Alize model or a Passaat. #60 uses the Montana model which has a very unique tail... a Passaat or an Alize would be easier to draw and more general. But I would still like to see the house represented too!

Thank you again for the help.

#60, #61, #68, #69 and #72 are great depictions of our turbine! Thanks!!!

The tail on the Montana model is kind of weird... The Alize model and the Passaat model have tails that are probably easier to design into a logo.

The newest entries (85, 86) have also done a good job of showing our turbine! Thank you!

Thanks again to all the designers. I really enjoyed this process and apprecate everyone's efforts and suggestions. It was a very close race at the end and any of the top ten could have won.

If any of you need a wind turbine, please don't hesitate to look us up!
best,
