Thanks to all of you for your creative ideas. As you can tell, I definitely am leaning toward some type of emblem for my company. I have come to the conclusion that I like thinner fonts. It is interesting for me to see the blue and green colors you all are choosing. And since I am leaning toward a white or beige business card, I like the darker colors.

If this will help you all - my company is working toward creating tipping points as it relates to social change. I teach donors and program staff how to do measure results and ensure effective philanthropy. I have a background in education, health, aging and economic development and therefore rejected those designs that used a tree or animal. Those designs gave me the impression that I was limiting myself or the clients I serve. My reach is global.
Feel free to ask any further questions if it will help you create something that reflects my values.

I forgot to also communicate that all of your designs are making me think; helping me clarify my thoughts and what is important to me. Seeing all your creations is fun and I appreciate your creativity. THANK YOU!

The contest is coming to an end and again, thank you for all who have participated.
I have realized that I need to provide PANTONE colors to you all and will do that tomorrow late afternoon.

What has come out of this process is: I want some type of global look and feel to the design. I also like the measurement and person aspect to it. Also, the two words: For the need not get lost in the design. The services provided are FOR THE philanthropist.

You all have been great to work with. I appreciate the talent you have brought to this process.

Pantone greens: 3308 C is what I like. Yes, that dark.

Pantone blue: 655 C.

Pantone gray: 3308 C

I hope this helps. I have never had to choose a Pantone color before.
Here is what I know. I will probably choose a white business card and my website background will also be white.
Text on my website will most likely be black.

Also, some of your designs merit and I think I commented on one of your posts - I wouldn't mind using silver on a business card. That would actually be very cool looking for a business card.

Embossing is something I may do as well at some point.
