Thank You for the great entries so far. I wonder if there is a way to get the point across of information bursting/feeding out to people's phones without making the logo too complicated. My business partner likes the idea of a web 2.0 style logo.

I think the radiating outwards is a good fit with the RSS or similar. I do also like the more rectangular dimensions as well. (short height, long width, etc)

Also, the lowercase d with the upper B isn't a requirement so feedburst FeedBurst, feedBURST is fine, whatever works.

#13 really captures the idea well. Looks great!

Husk, the idea of information transmitting out like in #19 or #6 looks good. If there is a way to have it give the idea of information bursting out, that would be great too.

DesignLab, thank you for the submissions. #21 is real nice. Looks like you have had some experience with radiation bursts in your rising phoenix logo. We are looking for something like that type of effect. I would like to see those colors you used from that logo on #21 if possible and anything else you think would be good.. Thank You. -Mike

NancyCarterDesign: #13 is still our favorite because it captures the idea best in our opinion so far. I would like to see variations of it with different combinations of with/without text fill fade, with/without shadow, feed & burst different colors, and different fonts. Last, on the original RSS symbol that you started with, the edges of the two arches must have been rounded. With the bursting effect that you added, the very edges look a bit circular. I was wondering if it would look even better by starting with flat ends instead of rounded on the two arches. Please send me a response if you do not know what I mean.

DesigbLab: we like the red color in #39 better than the original green. Thank You for the change We really like the font that you used. That font may be our favorite. My business partner would like to see the logo on the other side of the text and the burst going the other direction (left to right) also if that is not too much trouble.

Ebonk: we like your #45 logo a lot. Your original FB emblems are very nice too. #45 is our favorite from yours right now. If you can make the feed symbol look more like a burst, please do. The font you used is nice.

Husk: we like your #6 a lot. It gives us the impression of data being transmitted, but not bursting out. If there is something that you can think of that leaves users with the impression of burst, please try it.

infinitecreation: your #28 logo is real nice. We like the color fades used in the text. The RSS symbol on top of the "U" makes it no longer look like a "U". Maybe try to place the symbol to the right of the text and if you have ideas to make it look more like it is bursting, please try.

TO ALL DESIGNERS: thank you so much so your work on this so far. The emblem part of the design (the part without the text) may also be used stand alone for a iPhone application button, so it is important for it to work stand alone also without the "feedburst" text next to it. We like the feed and burst being different colors.

Please try logos using both "feedburst" and "feedBURST". I think both look great. (single color or two color is fine too)

While we seem to like the "orange" look, you may want to try other colors. We understand it's easy to change colors so we won't necessarily rank or make our decision based on color alone. We'll probably ask the winner for more colors regardless. (would like to see some with black backgrounds too)

What we do seem to prefer is the "bursting" effect, whether it's RSS or something similar. The icon/emblem you add should be effective enough to stand alone and still describe "feedburst". We are also going to need to use the entire logo for smaller resolutions, so keep that in mind when determining how complex to make it.
