Like to see some options that maybe incorporate a lake. Also like to see some more distinct font options while keeping it simple classy and elegant. Thank you!

Don't like the "CLC" idea in the mark. Ideally, want a mark that has a sense of calmness like a lake. No need for skylines. It should also have some depth. A "CL" (without the last C) can be embedded/created within the mark to reflect the name Crawford Lake. Lastly a more distinctive typeface is preferred.

Here's a dropbox link for the logo we recently had designed but think it needs much improvement.

Try improving on the idea by making the "C" and the tree line more defined and realistic while keeping the subtle nature intact. Like the "modern" look of it though. Or try something else entirely but keeping in mind what this logo accomplishes.

Dear fellow designers,

The use of a tree is my concept to protect as I was the first one to use it in this contest. The CH's last comment was most likely directed to me. In the link he posted you can tell there is no tree.

Dear CrawfordLake,

Please post individual comments on the designer's page by clicking on the designers name. The general area is for comments that pertain to the contest in general. Individual concepts are protectable by each designer and we are not allowed to take each other's ideas. When you leave a specific comment for an individual they will receive an email and it will foster better dialogue as to the logo you want.

Thanks and best of luck in choosing a winner,

Kyro

Kyro,

Thank you for your designs and hard work. In reality, I was addressing all the designers with my comments and link. We had that logo designed recently and think it's on the right track. However, we were unable to get the logo up to our level of satisfaction. The idea works for us (lake, tree line, mountain range) in a modern and clean look. The idea of using a single tree is definitely something you created first, but we would rather a full 'lake view' in our logo and if possible, using the 'C'.

Thank you for the clarification. Yes, I was trying to protect the concept of the single tree.
