Slogan
Focused Mind, Open Heart
What We Do
CMP is a secular meditation group, dedicated to the study and practice of a variety of mindfulness and heart-opening practices that are highly accessible to people of all religious backgrounds. Benefits of meditation include improved emotional regulation, focus, resilience, compassion, and mental and physical health. CMP’s teachings draw from a variety of traditions. CMP seeks to draw from teachers who represent the highest standards of ethics, scholarship and depth of practice, and CMP aspires to uphold these standards itself. Discussion and peer-to-peer learning are core to the group’s approach, in addition to regular, dedicated practice. CMP aspires to develop outreach programs, in order to bridge secular meditation to modern institutions, including schools, prisons, professional organizations, assisted living centers and sports teams.

Our Ideas & Additional Information
Our name is long - open to creative ideas on how to incorporate our name in the logo (initials?).

Can draw from Buddhist or other spiritual symbols, but should not be overtly Buddhist (this is a secular organization and our audience is generally conservative and coming from a broad range of religious/spiritual backgrounds). Some examples of symbols:

Tibetan Buddhist symbols: http://www.ancient-symbols.com/buddhist-symbols.html

Thank you all for these first entries. A couple of comments off the bat from CMP: don't think the heart symbol is right for this (used too often in other contexts), and the dolphin isn't quite right either (dolphin suggest tropics and warmth, among other issues, and we are based in Fairfield CT, USA). Will confer with the co-founders of CMP and come back with more comments.

In general, we are thinking that we would like our logo to be crisp, clean and simple (logos from apple, google drive come to mind).

Hello all, we would be interested to logos that include a silhouette of a meditator, literal like the one here, or perhaps even abstracted a bit more than the one here. Key ideas for us are balance, simplicity. Crispness.

Hello designers, as we move through the "top 5" round, here are some general comments. Thank you all for your wonderful and creative designs:

* We are interested in fonts with 2-3 colors, and we are favoring combinations of blue/green and blue/orange and blue/white.
* We would also like to see versions in black and white.
* The colors in #184 are beautiful but probably too faded for a logo - will have to be a bit bolder.
* For versions that do not have the logo “Focused Mind, Open Heart” please try versions that include.
* We are interested in trying different fonts, including sans serif fonts.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions.
