Find the hot spot!

Bardoppler.com is a bar rating system. It is like a yelp, but focuses solely on bars. We want to be hip/upbeat/and web2.0 (which means simple and clean).

Preferably, we'll use a blue/black/white theme to go off the night time feel. I'm comfortable considering using a green instead of a blue, or also a green and blue.

Some logos from current websites I like: zoosk.com, pando.com, basecamp.com (all 37signals.com logos), standpoint.com, podzinger.com, and shutterfly.com.

Basically very web 2.0 fonts, that are simple and clean.
Here are some little pieces of art/designs that I think could be useful:

Radar/doppler portions:

I'd really like to integrate incorporate a drink icon with a radar of some sort. I've purchased some istockphoto vector art, which you can download here: http://www.jeffsample.com/bardoppler_VectorArt.zip. Preferably, it would be very web 2.0ish.

Please don't use the vector art directly. It should only be a guide for you in regards to what I think is appealing.
