AZURE DEVELOPMENT GROUP is a property development company based in Brisbane, Australia.

There are three directors, all of whom have considerable project development, design, management and construction experience.

The reference to ‘Azure’ relates to the colour of a bright, cloudless sky, ie: being able to see the horizon without obstruction. It is an abstract reference.

The focus is to be on the word ‘Azure’, with the words ‘Development Group’ being secondary.

The logo must be:
• timeless - it must look good in 10 years time
• cutting edge, dynamic & interesting
• bold, strong, simple and at home on ‘Wall Street’.
• professional
• not directly relate to building design or development. We do not want anything with images of cranes, buildings etc
• represent our core values
solid, safe, secure, honest, dependable, uncomplicated

Ideally the logo has a negative/contrast version as well as the ’standard’ version.

We will be looking for a logo, letterhead, business card setouts etc and will require al standard formats and watermarks.

Nothing really getting us too excited just yet!

The full name 'Azure' needs to be the focus.
We are not shortening to ADG

Still nothing really jumping out at us so far.
We are not after images of stylised buildings. It is too common.
We need to be distinctive and not to conservative.
Strong, secure, trustworthy and timeless.
Perhaps some 3-D elements? Transparent/Opaque?
Need to be 'interesting' and stand out from the crowd.

None of the ranked logo's are going to win at this stage.
We need innovation!

As a general comment;
- we would like to see some lower case logo's as an option please
- something a little less conservative is needed
- more 'interest' required
- 3D / Translucent options would be good to see.

We are really looking for new fresh ideas.
We do not want:
- random shapes that do not mean anything
- pictures of buildings

We do want:
- more creativity
- strong focus on the word 'Azure'
- lower case options
- more font options
- something that 'tells a story'
- strong, recognisable, corporate, timeless, smart

OK, Thank you for hanging in through the first phase, Despite the 'ranking' above, the top 5 are all equally placed, with each being a favourite of the staff in the office. Some more specific feedback:

Generally:
- we are after more 'solid' and 'deep' blues
- avoid the 'graduated' colours in some fonts

#272
- we would like to see more development of the blue swish. It is perhaps a little too symmetrical with the top of the letter R.
- other thoughts, shapes etc?

#268
- the 'structure' lines need to be a little more visible - they are almost impossible to see on a white background
- the font is a little conservative - other ideas?
- Other blue colour options?

#296
- Other blue options?
- please also show a 'negative' colour version of this one
- can the A be slightly more stylised? Perhaps remove the instep at the base all together (hence the black shape would be symmetrical), or replace it with a subtle upward curve rather than the square/angle recess?

#338
- the font is a little conservative
- we like the swish on the A. Any further development of this?

#24
- Can we look at solid fonts (not graduated colour)
- Other font options/proportions?

We are down to 5. All different, and all favourites with different people. We look forward to the next round!
