ASCENT 121Logo Design Contest

Thanks for all of these awesome submissions, designers! We met to review as a group and have the following to comments/suggestions:

1) We have decided against including the tagline in the logo. As mentioned in the brief- we were undecided about that. I will remove the tagline from the brief this evening. (We are not against having a graphic underscore of some sort, but it's not necessary, either.)

2) We want to be careful about distinguishing the "A" too much in ASCENT. We don't want it to resemble "A Scent".

3) We hope to see some more abstract designs. We like the combination of hard/soft. We don't want it too be too sterile/rigid but we also don't want whimsical. We are looking for a balance.

3) We thought that it might be helpful when considering concepts, to point out that the "121" is from Psalm 121 in the Bible. We are not looking for any overt indication of that, but the overall message conveyed in the images should be consistent with hope/safety/rising above/healing/etc. etc. etc.

Hello Designers! One of the things we liked best about the uploaded design in the brief, is that there was representation of a woman's head/face (In the "S"). We weren't sure that that would work with our current name, but we do like the representation of a woman somewhere in the design. We'd love to see some original thoughts/ideas surrounding that concept. Thanks again for all of the wonderful submissions.

One last minute request, designers. Anyone available to shoot over some images with mountains or sky or something that might indicate ascension?

Designers, please note that we have asked for an extension before finalizing the Top 5 for Phase 2. We do not expect a response from Logo Tournament until Monday morning. We will be re-arranging some of the submissions by designer- but mostly for our board review, not necessarily by rank of design. Thank you for all of these submissions!

Hey Designers, we still have not received any response from Logo Tournament at this time. We have officially requested to "re-begin" Phase 2 at 3pm (EST) today, since we've essentially been "on hold" since Saturday morning. Stay tuned...
